一、企业基本情况
广西壮族自治区科学器材进出口公司创建于1973年2月(以下简称公司)，国有独资企业，原名广西壮族自治区科学器材公司，隶属广西壮族自治区科学技术厅。公司经营地址在广西首府南宁市星湖路28号，占地面积6，732．98m2，总建筑面积达13，850m2。2001年10月，经原国家对外经济贸易合作部批准，公司获得进出口经营资格，并于2002年1月更名为广西壮族自治区科学器材进出口公司，注册资金807万元人民币。
公司主要以进出口贸易业务和经营“专、精、特、新”科技产品为经营主业，兼营各类进口和国产实验设备、光学、医疗和生化、化学试剂、环保设备、机电设备、教学设备，自营6，000平方米的“永通电脑城”，形成了“流通、产业、服务”为一体的经营格局。
截止2004年底，公司总资产为2，200多万元，总负债1，578多万元，净资产626多万元；债务构成主要是短期借款、应付账款、预收账款和其他应付款。公司经营业务近两年来保持上升势头，特别是2004年和2005年，代理进出口贸易额每年超过亿元人民币。
公司现有在职职工51人，其中在岗职工32人、内退及提前离岗16人、出国学习2人、离休1人。大专以上学历人员36人，占71％，中专及以下人员15人；高级职称3人、中级职称15人、初级职称12人。另外，公司的退休人员已移交南宁市社区，实行社会化管理。

Guangxi Scientific Equipments and Materials
Import /Export Corporation

Ⅰ Brief Introduction 
Founded in February 1973, Guangxi Scientific Equipments and Materials Import/Export Corporation (hereinafter called the company ) is an enterprise solely funded by the State with Guangxi Scientific Equipments and Materials Corporation  as its predecessor directly attached to the Department of Science and Technology of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . The registered place of business of the company, with a total land occupation area of 6,732.98 m2  and a total construction area of 13,850 m2,  is located at No. 28, Xinghu Road, Nanning, capital city of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous region. In October of 2002, with the approval from the former Ministry of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (MOFTEC), the company obtained its right to import-export business. The company changed its name to Guangxi Scientific Equipments and Materials Import/Export Corporation in January, 2001 with a registered capital of 8.07 million RMB.
The company mainly deals in import and export business and other “professional, fine, special and new” scientific and technical products. In the meantime, it also deals in various imported and homemade lab equipment, optical equipment, medical and biochemical equipment, chemical reagents, environmental protection equipment, electromechanical equipment and teaching facilities, etc. The company has its own business operation of “Yongtong Computer City” with a total floorage of 6,000m2, forming an integrated business pattern of  “circulation, industry and service” .
By the end of 2004, the company had had a total asset of more than 22 million RMB, with the total liabilities of over 15.78 million RMB and a net asset of over 6.26 million RMB. The liabilities were mainly made up of short-term loans, accounts payable, accounts paid in advance and other accounts payable. The business of the company in the past two years has kept a rising tendency and this is especially true for the years 2004 and 2005 when the annual trade volume for acting as an import-export agent is more than 100 million RMB.
The company has a total of 51 employees in active service of whom 32  are on the job, 16 are staff of early retirement , 2 have gone abroad for further study and one is retired. Of the total staff, 36  are  with junior college education background or higher, taking up 71% of the total staff, 15 are with secondary technical school background or lower. 3 of them have obtained senior academic titles, 15 with intermediate academic titles and 12 with junior academic titles. Besides, the company’s responsibility for retirees has been shifted to the Nanning Community for social management.

Ⅲ Property Right Exchange or Restructuring of State Owned Assets
As required by the state policies, it is planned to introduce incremental strategic investors for the said exchange or restructuring. Consideration may also be given to other patterns of cooperation. The investors may take part in the restructuring of the joint-stock system of our company through diversified sources of investment. After the restructuring of the property right, the investors may make investment in the construction of the project “Nanning-ASEAN Urban Scientific and Technological Information Park”( whose detailed information is available at request ). The investors may also make sole investment in the project. We welcome successful enterprises with strong financial capacity and good reputation to have negotiations and cooperation with us( without any restriction on the type or apanage of company ).
Ⅳ Progress of Project Preparation
As arranged by the State-owned Assets Supervision Commission of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the asset and capital verification work has been completed.
